The Muppets Most Wanted

Instead of treating myself to chocolate on Easter, I treated myself to something just as enjoyable – The Muppets: Most Wanted. Flying solo and surrounded by the new generation of The Muppets fans I was as excited as them.

The start of the movie takes place moments after The Muppets has finished, Statler and Waldorf declare that they have already ordered a squeal and thus the first musical number begins.

Kermit sings the “…the sequels never quite as good.” The fear of anyone making a comeback, something that some franchisees worry about, The Muppets need not have a second thought about it. The sequel was a fun ride, full of humor and touching scenes.

The plot sorounds a world tour, in which The Muppets new manager, Dominic Badgy (played by Ricky Gervais) replaces Kermit with the most evil frog Constantine, who together plan to rob the Royal Crown  Jewels.

For the hardcore fans there are callbacks and references to all the other Muppet movies, which include my favourite The Great Muppet Caper. These only add to the charm of this movie.
