REVIEW: Stop What You’re Doing and Read This

With a different font for each word of the title, you would think that this book may be written Stop What You’re Doing and Read This is a collection of essays that talk about the importance of reading.

by someone suffering from a case of infatuated Typography. However;

Comprising of 10 essays, the various authors talk about their experiences with reading, the art of writing and who influenced them to read, as in where they got their thrust for words from.

My favourite essay was Library Life by Zadie Smith in which she talks about what libraries meant to her as a child and what they mean to her now. I could relate to the visions of going to the library and picking the next set of books that for those three weeks or so, were mine to enjoy in the privacy of my own home.
