I am not much of a Jane Austen fan – I put it down to my best guy friends last name is Darcy, first name is not Fitzwilliam; however, I do believe this is quite cool.

A much-loved classic, adapted into infinity has now found its place – in a lake in London. The Guardian reportsThe notorious scene in the nation’s favourite BBC adaptation of Pride and Prejudice, in which Colin Firth as Mr Darcy emerges wet-shirted and dripping from the lake of his country estate after an impromptu swim, has been celebrated in the shape of a 12-foot sculpture of the romantic hero.”

This its tempory place before its final reasting place will be the park where the famous scene was filmed.

Even though I haven’t read the books as such, I do know the story. Along with thousands of other viewers I watched The Lizzie Bennet Diaries, created by Hank Green which told the story in video-blogs, playlist below.
