Women In Horror Month: Braindead Review

I got told I had to watch this for my comedy show benefit because I am in fact technically half brain dead; because of a stroke I suffered at 3 weeks old. But I digress.

Braindead is best described as a cult slapstick comedy directed by Peter Jackson. My friend warned me that it is known as one of the grossest movies of all time.

The plot centres around a boy called Lionel Cosgrove – who is a mummy’s boy who meets a shopkeeper Paquita; and becomes smitten with her, to his mothers dismay. When she spies on them while they on a date to the zoo she is bitten by a Sumatran Rat-Monkey… and that is just the beginning of his problems.

This movie is “so gross” that I laughed myself stupid at the overdone on the blood and cheese factor that it is hilarious.

There are no specific comedy types in this apart from over-exageration.
