So, over the weekend I have spent it workshopping. I have want to do a comedy festival show since the last day of the festival this year. I have been tossing whether to actually do it or whether to let my doubts cloud my judgement once more. A few weeks ago I met up with a comic friend who I haven’t seen in quite a few months. She offered a while ago to help me with workshopping and getting ideas down and exploring them.
So, from Friday afternoon through to Sunday afternoon we spent it doing just that, we stayed up and chatted and joked and noted down keen themes and ideas that we come up with. I found my structure, comic voice again and now know where I want to go with it.
So here is where I am making the commitment, I; Tansy Bradshaw am doing a Comedy Festival Show next year, it will only be about 40 minutes and will only be about 6 shows over the three weeks but if I never do it – I will never know.
In other news; I have had to start a new placement because my first got cancelled after the library was made redundant; so now I am at General Practice Victoria.
Doctor Who begins again next Saturday, September 3rd and I can’t wait.
My favourite clip of the week is Gotye – Somebody That I Used To Know
